Watchers

Hey guys.
As some of you know I painted an entry for this contest.
And I just went through all entries and I have to tell you there are A TON OF AMAZING entries in there!!!!
I tried to comment on as many of them as I could because I think a lot of these guys did a fantastic job.
In fact I wrote so many comments DA stopped me because it though I was spamming =) lol

I was hoping to make it into the final 25 but with so many fantastic entries I doubt I will be able to make it.
But it was still an amazing experience.

I went through all the entries all the way to the bottom and let me tell you it was worth is. There are some real gems hidden down there if you scroll down long enough.

What was interesting is that I went and also looked through some of the galleries of my fav entries and  what I noticed was that the contest entry was by far the strongest piece in many of the galleries. And I think that is a great thing. I think it is true for my self too. So thank you DA and Blizzard for hosting such a fun contest and motive a lot of us to do better than we had ever done before.

Good luck to everyone who entered.

Cheers,
Nic

Hey Will,
thank you very much.
I use a lot of the default brushes that come with Photoshop and these danluvisiart.deviantart.com/ar…
They are not mine. For texturees I use a mix of brushes and photo textures.
At the end of the day it really doens´t matter too much wich brushes you use. I also recommend to play with the brush tool yourself to try and create your very own brushes for whatever specific reason you need. Sometimes by excident something really useful might come out.

Best,
Nic

Hi BoOom,
I left a comment bellow, but I'm not sure if it went through. I was wondering if you had the brushes you use available on Deviant Art or another website. I love the work you did and the texture you got on Link from Zelda was out of this world. I would love to get a copy of the top brushes you use and ask you for some tips and tricks you use to accomplish such an amazingly painted look! Please email me anytime at WillFalconeArt@gmail.com Thank you so much.
