Description

So those of you who have seen my spiderman page WIP.
You already know that I want to get back into drawing.
Coloring is fun but AGES ago I started out as a penciler myself and only learned to color because no one wanted to color my lines =)

I like the typical comic book look.
Inked pencils and simple coloring.
But I dont think I am good at that kind of progress plus since I can color and paint it would be kind of a wast of time to draw super nice lineart and than color it.
When I can just draw simple lineart and fully paint it.
I would like to get your guys opionions on this.
Do you prefer the old school comic book look?
Or do you prefer this painted stuff for INTERRIORS?

I ll put up a poll too but I would love to get comments here.

Thanks,
Nic

1. The black fists look like a cop out

2. The missing legs from the top of the knee down make it look unfinished

3. Other than that you know I'm a big fan of your colors. I'd practice more with the pencil and post those before you fully paint. Otherwise it's hard to offer crits on your fundamentals. I'd recommend getting back to the life drawing basics and using stick figures as well to get your positioning down.

4. I'd like to see you draw heroes with smoother lines (not bulbous just cleaner). The edgy, muscular look is a bit much and most artists draw like this for the superhero stuff. I think your painting would lend itself to coloring more of an Alex Ross type detail.
